Anyway, this is our new blog about wood stoves. Ruth and I have been doing a lot of research and talking about adding a wood stove or a fireplace insert. We have a great looking bluestone fireplace in a tiny living room. But it's useless. Unless you want to cool the rest of the house.
I'm alsways concerned about emergencies -- ice storms, terrorist attacks, blizzards and hurricanes. I'd like to know we can survive off the grid. And the price of oil is climbing. I wouldn't mind a break on the heating bills.
We started a website to share the information we put together in our search. We thought others like you might find it helpful.
