Planning for Winter

Well, oil has hit an all time high. I can feel the dollars flying out of the checking account now. I guess my plans for painting the trim on the house this summer aren't nearly as important as insulating and finally moving ahead with installing our wood stove.

Our house was built in 1950 -- brick, but without insulation. Fortunately when they finished the second floor, adding a dormer, they insulated there. So not all the heat's been escaping, but enough so we felt it in the pocketbook last winter.

How about you? How are you dealing with these skyrocketing prices?
